Meet Your Doula
Here’s the typical about me “doula style”
Let’s start with some history:
The only thing I knew about birth, before my first pregnancy, was all the crazy stories I had heard from friends and family. Well long story short, it went completely opposite of the natural birth I wanted it to be! Hello, I’m a failed induction lead to csection mama!
When I found out I was pregnant with baby #2 I researched everything I could on trying for an unmedicated vbac. (Vaginal birth after cesarean)
The birth was everything I prayed for, and it encouraged me to help other moms experience the beautiful birth they deserve.
Not only are both births opposite, so are my breastfeeding journeys. With my first I experienced it all low supply, over supply, nursing, supplementing and pumping, clog ducts and ended up exclusively pumping for 14 months, thankfully I didn’t have those struggles with my second and she is still nursing 2.5 years later.
God is a huge part of my life and when I began looking into doula and lactation work, I knew it was where he wanted me. I am able to serve and support moms and families and it is something I am passionate about and absolutely love doing.
We all know every pregnancy and birth experience is different and I hope to help YOU feel supported, loved, empowered and informed in your pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding journey.
